Fagor America Premium Electric Pressure Cooker
Fagor America recently sent me their new Premium 6 qt. Electric Pressure Cooker to review. They also offered to give away a Premium 6 qt. Electric Pressure Cooker to one lucky Pressure Cooking Today reader! Details on how you can win are at the bottom of this post.
In June, I reviewed the Fagor America LUX Multi Cooker. The Premium Electric Pressure Cooker is very similar to the LUX, but is a more affordable pressure cooker.
The main difference between the Premium and the LUX is there are no slow cook or yogurt functions on the Premium. Instead there are meat and beans functions.
The Premium comes with a PFOA free non-stick cooking pot. You can order a stainless steel pot for the Fagors, and it’s great to have two pots. I like the stainless pot for better browning and you can scrub it if necessary. But sometimes I intentionally choose a non-stick pot – it’s better for rice and pastas – anything you don’t want to stick.
If you think you’ll use the yogurt and slow cooker functions, then you’ll want to spend the extra money to get the Fagor America LUX Multi Cooker. But if you’re like me, and don’t use those functions, the less expensive Premium Pressure Cooker may be right for you.
They’re both great pressure cookers and often I just use whichever one has a clean pot and clean lid.
Use the rafflecopter to enter the giveaway for the Premium Pressure Cooker. Sometimes it takes a while to load, so you may have to be patient. Good luck!
Disclosure: I received a free Fagor America Premium Electric Pressure Cooker to review, but was not compensated for this post and all opinions expressed are always my own.
I bought my Fagor electric pressure cooker from Bed Bath & Beyond. I bought Fagor because I have 2 different sized stove top Fagor pressure cookers. Thank goodness for that because I’ve had my electric pressure cooker 1-2 years and now it’s dead! Won’t come on at all. Very disappointed. I thought it was the outlet but, it won’t come on at any outlet. But when it worked it was great.
Sorry – that’s frustrating.
So excited about this Fagor pressure cooker. I love the copper , so nice. I like the ceramic pot too. I have been researching pressure cookers and have come back to this one. Love the recipes you have on line as well.
I’ve never heard of this pressure cooker before…
Yes, I used to have a Fagor Duo Rapido stovetop set that I made all sorts of delicious food with until I lost them somehow during a move. I remember fondly the tender pork chops…
I NEED a pressure cooker!!! =)
I have never used a pressure cooker before but,, you make it look so easy that I will have to try! Hope I win! I’m not sure I want to have to ask for one for my birthday! 🙂
I’d love to try one!
I do have an electric one that I love–but the valve slipped down the disposal and isn’t going to work much longer. I’d love to try a Fagor.
I’ve never used a pressure cooker, but lately I’ve been looking at them on Amazon. Seems like they’re a great way to cook!
I love my electric pressure cooker, but it is over 5 years old. I used it extensively when my daughter was in treatment for cancer, and we traveled 2 days a week for all day treatments, but with my pressure cooker I could get home at 5 and have a delicious dinner by 6. I could use a new one 🙂
Yes, a standard not an electric one.
I love my electric pressure cooker, use it frequently and often think how nice it would be to have a second one to use at the same time.
Either would be perfect for my dad. I love, love my pressure cooker and am trying to convince him to get one too since he loves to cook.
i love my Fagor stovetop pressure cooker. Would love to win the electric version!
I’d love to win one. I’ve never used a Pressure Cooker before.
Yes., both stovetop and electric. Love them.
Never, but I really want to try it!
Barbara,
I’ve never used a pressure cooker before but I’d love to start using one.
Annamaria
Pick me….,Pick me….yes please.
In it to win it!
I have not used a pressure cooker before.
Yes I used a stovetop pressure cooker
I’ve never used a pressure cooker, but would love to start.
I’ve used a stove-top pressure cooker for years and love it! It is one of my favorite tools. I’d love to upgrade to an electric pressure cooker!
I have both an electric and stove top pressure. I prefer the electric one.
I’ve not used a pressure cooker, but am doing my research and reading tons of recipes to decide what brand and model I want to buy….
Would love a Fagor, stainless steel pot is a must for me!
I do use a pressure cooker and love it.
I have not used a pressure cooker but I have used a pressure canner before.
I LOVE using a pressure cooker. Currently using a small electric one. LOVE! Latest favorite is meatloaf. No waiting an hour or more for the oven, and no heating up the place here in hot and humid Florida!
I’ve never used a pressure cooker! I can’t believe Fagor sells in America things that don’t exist in Spain (where they come from).
I HAVE BEEN USING PRESSURE COOKERS SINCE I WAS 10 YEARS OLD. I LOVE MY OLD TOP OF THE STOVE MODELS. IT WOULD BE GREAT TO HAVE AN ELECTRIC MODEL TOO.
I have used an electric pressure cooker for years until it stopped working last year. I’m really missing it!
I love our electric pressure cooker! It will always be handy for when we need it! Foods taste better cooked in it, too!
I’d love to teach others how awesome and wonderful cooking with a pressure cooker is.
It’s fun, it’s easy and it’s just the absolute bomb!
Everyone should have at least one!
I love my electric pressure cooker.
I use an electric pressure cooker at least a couple times a week. I often wish I had a second one to make another part of the meal.
I’ve never used a pressure cooker before, but I’ve heard awesome things about them! I’d love to give it a try!
No I haven’t used a pressure cooker yet, I’m scared!
I’ve only used a stove top pressure cooker for about 5 years now. I like the idea of an electric one that can be programed.
I have used one, but am just starting to look into a wider variety of pressure cooker recipes. I fell in love with pressure cookers initially while studying in Spain.
Pressure cooking is the easiest way to cook and produces delicious results! I’ve used PC’s since the old style, rocker tops and never had a problem, but the new PC’s are so simple and fun.
**brink…made some pressure cooker boiled peanuts a while back and they were awesome!
Yes I had used pressure cooker before but not this kind. The one that you had to change the gasket. Wish I have one like this. Goodluck to all. Crossing fingers. ☺
Goodness, what do you do with ALL of you different pressure cookers??!!! You don’t have to ask me to leave a comment on your blog. I always do. I LOVE your recipes. I wouldn’t mind having a new pressure cooker to work with, as my 20 year old model is getting worn out!
I’ve never had a pressure cooker and always wanted one but now that I’m pregnant we’re saving our money for the baby so I’m really crossing my fingers to win this giveaway, it’ll be very helpful once the baby arrives for easy meals those first weeks …. Pleaaaseeee pick meeee ?
I used a pressure cooker for years when my kids were little, one of the old ones with the round thing on top that bounced around. I absolutely loved how quick it was and how good the food turned out – until I was cooking spaghetti sauce and the gasket, which I obviously had worn out now that I look back on it , blew. I had spaghetti sauce on my ceiling, cupboards, counters and floor! It was a real mess to clean up. For whatever reason, I’ve never gotten another one. Winning this one would give me the opportunity of cooking with one again, which I would really like to do please 🙂
I absolutely LOVE my Fagor Pressure Cooker. Would love to try the Premium version.
I need to get a pressure cooker! crossing my fingers I win the giveaway…but if I don’t, this looks like a great one! thank you for reviewing these!
I’ve never used a pressure cooker… I’ve been too scared that it would blow up! really. 🙂
A very attractive looking electric PC. Cook’s Illustrated rated one of their stove top models #1.
I would love to try out the Fagor Pressure Cooker. It sounds right up my alley!
I have used a pressure cooker and it scared me the first time, but i love it. hoping to win for my mom!!
Which one do you like best Barbara? Or does it make a difference what you’re cooking?
If love the Instant Pot and both Fagors. The stainless steel pot is a big plus for the Instant Pot, but I like the buttons/settings on the LUX and Premium Pressure cooker better. I like that the Fagors start at 1 instead of 30 minutes on the manual setting like the Instant Pot. But you really can’t go wrong with any of them.
A pressure cooker has been on my list for a long time and now that we’re eating healthier and cooking more at home it is moving up the list of priorities! I’m so glad you post about them.
I love love love your cheesecake recipes! Keep them coming and thanks for this opportunity!
I’ve used a pressure cooker for 49 years, starting with the stovetop Mirro-Matic and moving onto the electric (Cook’s Essentials and latest one an InstaPot). I would gift this one to my sister, who lives on a limited budget and could make great meals for freezing ahead.
Would love to win this for my daughter, she just had her first baby and my first grand baby!!
I have never used one but would love to start. 🙂
This pressure cooker looks great!
Sure have! Own quite a few stovetop ones
LOVE LOVE LOVE my Instant Pot!!! All 4 of my children have become devotees!!
I got a InstaPot for Christmas last year and it is still sitting on my counter. I have 3 stove tops including 1 for our RV and 1 4 qt that I cook our puppies chicken breast. Not sure why I have not used it but I do wish it was not stainless steel as it is too hard to clean. Maybe I will cook something in it for this Christmas 🙂 The Fagor looks to be a good pot.
I have an old stove top Fagor pressure cooker that I love. This one’s a beauty!
I have a regular pressure cooker and love it but would love to try a more modern electric.
looks good. May have to try it
I love my Instant Pot and pack it in the car when we go to visit our son’s family 200 miles away because I can’t bear to be without a pressure cooker. Love your recipes, Barbara! Winning a new Fagor would be great – I’d give it to my son who also loves to cook.
i have used a stovetop pressure cooker but would LOVE to to own an electric pressure cooker. Seems to be easier and safer!
I love my pressure cooker. I use it 3-4 times a week! Your blog has really helped me to expand my pressure cooking ways!
Y’know, I’ve wanted a pressure cooker for ages. I can remember my grandmother making lima beans with hamhocks in hers, and they were delish! (She was not a great cook, so this is a REALLY big accolade…)
…I need to acquire one — soon. 🙂
I have my husbands, grandmas stove top pressure cooker. I would love to try an electric one… I always a get little nervous using the stove top one. 😉
I have 6 qt & 10 qt Fagor stovetop pressure cookers and use them both frequently. I have no need for an electric pressure cooker. I also use a Ninja 3 in 1 cooker which gives me the added flexibility of stovetop, slow cooker & oven functions. I bought this very cheaply on one of the food websites.
I still use my old Presto rocking pressure cooker that I’ve had for about 42 years! I’d love to win a new Fagor electric one!!!!!
I have a pressure cooker, old school stove-top style. I use it every single week at least once! makes the best Pinto Beans ever for one thing.
Pressure cookers are the best kitchen appliance for a working mom. Dinner is on the table within an hour (okay, I don’t always plan ahead) and it is something nutritious – no reheated frankenfood here!! Love the recipes. I have tried so many of them. Thank you!
I have used a pressure cooker and love your recipes! We try not to use the oven during the summer so we pressure cook a lot during the summer months.
I have never used an electric pressure cooker but I love my stove top one.
My pressure cooker went kaput and needs replacing! The Fagor is awesome!
This would be great to have in my hot….hot….hot….Arizona kitchen!!
I have used a pressure cooker and would love this one! I love to make different dishes for our dinners with it.
Yes, I use my electric pressure cooker daily!
I se my pressure cooker about once a week! love the way food taste more robust. Would love to have an electric one.
I love my stovetop Fagor pressure cooker – but I have to adapt a lot of the newer recipes for it! Would love to make them in an electric pressure cooker!
Yes, I use my Fagor stovetop pressure cooker at least twice a week. My mother used a pressure cooker so it always seemed a ‘normal’ way to cook.
Have an 8 quart Fagor, nice PC, been reluctant to buy an electric. Having a less hands off feature is appealing.
I love having a pressure cooker.. BUSY family who loves to eat good food. So we use the pressure cooker at least 4 times per week.
I would love to win this. I am new to pressure cooking and have a stove top one now. I would love. The ease of an electric!
I have used a pressure cooker before, an old fashioned one. I would love a chance to use a new one!
I bought the LUX version a couple months ago. I would love to win the Premium and gift it to my son who is at college.
I use my pressure cooker at least once a week.
Love my pressure cooker but mine doesn’t have all these features. Would love to try something new.
I have used pressure cookers and actually prefer electric over stovetop. My old electric one bit the dust a few months ago, and I would love to win a Fagor. My stovetop model is a Fagor, and I really appreciate the quality. Thanks for the opportunity!
I’ve used an electric pressure cooker before. My favorite thing to make with it is hummus.
I have used a pressure cooker, but never an electric one. I would love to give it a try.
Awesome cook, and lady!
LOVE LOVE LOVE Pressure Cooking and would LOVE LOVE LOVE to have one of these! 🙂
I would love to own this pressure cooker!
I have 2 older pressure cookers which I use and love. I would love to win a new cooker.
I do have a 6-qt Cuisinart pressure cooker and love it! (Love this blog too!!) I’d like to win one for my best friend. 🙂
I love my Fagor stovetop Duo set. I’m really curious about electric pressure cookers, wondering if I’ll get any use from one… and then which one to choose? It would be great if someone decides for me.
I have a stovetop Fagor and I would love to have the premium electric one.
I would love this. Thank you for all the info
I would love this pressure cooker!
I love pressure cooking. It makes cooking dinner during the week possible for our family rather than eating take out.
I love the simple button features on this pressure cooker! I entered!
I’m just getting into electric pressure cooking. It seems so complicated! I’m glad to have a source such as you to guide me.
